The suspected killer, who allegedly killed a 19-year-old woman while working behind the counter at a King Burger in East Harlem, was arrested by police on Friday for cold-blooded murder, police said.

Winston Glynn, 30, who previously worked at the same fast food restaurant, was charged with first degree murder and robbery just days after Kristal Bayron-Nieves broke into the fast food restaurant between East 116th Street and Lexington Ave. the cops said.

Although Glynn had worked at the same Burger King in the past where Bayron-Nieves was shot and killed early Sunday morning, police do not believe he specifically targeted her.

“Large” Footage

Police found him by reviewing “large” footage which captured the suspect with a backpack and white headphones.

They then followed the video to a Manhattan store where Glynn, who also worked at another Burger King, used an EBT card before the murder, officers told reporters during a Friday briefing.

Mayor Eric Adams attended the press conference and said he felt compelled to comment on the case due to the cold-blooded nature of the killing.

“When I went to see his mother just because of the pain on her face, how it was tearing her up. We don’t see those screams, you don’t see the pain often,” he said.

“I don’t come to press conferences about the arrests,” he added. “It was very personal for a cold-blooded killer to shoot a 19-year-old girl after she gave in.”

Glynn, whose address is listed as the Queens Days Inn, which also serves as a homeless shelter, is not a US citizen and is originally from Jamaica, law enforcement sources said.

His social media posts also showed he was wearing the same clothes as on the day of the fatal shooting, the sources said.

The fatal incident happened around 1 a.m. On Sunday, a gunman walked in and shot a customer dead before slapping a manager in the face, police said.

“Give me the money!” he asked, pointing a gun at Bayron-Nieves, according to a police source.

“He struggled to open the drawer,” the source said.

When he opened it, Bayron-Nieves handed the money to the thief.

“When she looked at him, he lowered his gun,” the source said. “When she looked away, he shot her.”

Bayron-Nieves was crouched behind a second tree trunk when Glynn allegedly shot her, police officials said on Friday.

The teenager, who had started work three weeks earlier, was taken to Metropolitan Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.

The killer got away with just $100, the victim’s family said.

Glynn has been arrested several times before, including a gun-wielding bust at the Jamaican homeless shelter where he was staying, law enforcement sources said.

During the Nov. 30, 2021 incident, Glynn allegedly grabbed a screwdriver after an argument with another person at the shelter, sources said.

“I’m going to stab you,” the victim allegedly threatened.

His other arrests included a criminal arrest for possession of firearms in December 2021, another threatening charge in 2018 and a criminal arrest for a misdemeanor in 2017, police sources said.

An October 14 Instagram selfie of Glynn verified by investigators shows him in a Burger King uniform.

His latest posts, Thursdays, feature homeless people sleeping on the subway, along with a screenshot of Bible verses.
