Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the arrest Thursday, noting that the department had arrested 500 people involved in the violence, including 100 suspected of assaulting police.
The violence left five people dead, including a police officer from the Capitol.
“The Justice Department will continue to seek the facts of this case and arrest all those responsible on January 6, which the evidence corroborates,” he said.
According to court documents, Woods was filmed wearing a baseball cap and Trump mask when she entered a restricted area on Capitol Hill and assaulted a United States Capitol police officer, tripping and falling to the ground.
Woods was also reportedly filmed pointing fingers at reporters filming the attack on the Capitol and was part of a larger crowd who “shouted inflammatory rhetoric” against the media.
In one video, the FBI said Woods was seen “near a cameraman in jeans and a blue jacket,” then attacked the cameraman on the ground.
“The manner of attacking the cameraman was very similar to that of attacking the United States Capitol Police Officer,” the advertisement states.
