A armed man believed to be at the U.S. Capitol on January 6 was shot dead by police after he attempted to storm the Cincinnati FBI office and fled after an hour of being held down, authorities say and reports.

Ricky Shiffer was fatally shot by police Thursday afternoon after pointing a gun at officers around 3 p.m., an Ohio Highway State Patrol spokesperson said.
