A live-in aide has been charged with the murder of an 80-year-old man who was found beaten to death in his home with “I Touch Little Girls” on his chest.

Rene Ayarde, 28, was charged with murder, manslaughter and assault Monday month after Robert Raynor was killed at his Staten Island home in July.

She and her daughter lived with Raynor, who was found dead in pants with multiple injuries in the hallway of an apartment building in Tompkinsville on the first floor.

Police have refused to give reasons for Ayarde, who was arrested for pedophilia hours after the murder, but has only now been charged with the murder.

Just six hours after police discovered Raynor was lying with cuts on his forehead and two shirtless black eyes, Ayarde was arrested on suspicion of assaulting her three-year-old daughter.

He threw his daughter on the concrete floor and dragged her to a street before throwing a water bottle in her face, police said.

A passer-by reportedly saw the alleged assault and as Ayarde yelled at her crying daughter, the woman called the police.

But Ayarde then took the phone from the woman’s hands and threw it on the ground, leaving her with bruises and scratches on her body, prosecutors said.

Are you calling the police Give me your phone, ”Ayarde shouted at the woman, according to court documents reported by the Daily News.

The three-year-old girl was hospitalized with bruises on her neck when help arrived.

At the hospital, investigators found other injuries to the girl’s knees, face and cheeks, according to court documents, which were in various stages of healing.

“I was outside and mom threw me to the ground,” the girl told police, according to court records.

It was then that Ayarde was deemed a suspect in the investigation into Raynor’s murder.

But four months later, she was charged.

The disturbing news on Raynor’s chest does not appear to be supported by the 80-year-old’s extensive criminal record.

He has had 24 arrests under his name, but there is no record of pedophilia and his name does not appear on the state’s online registry of known sex offenders.

Only four of his two dozen arrests were opened, including two assaults on a girlfriend in 1987, a third assault in 1992 and a drug-related theft in 1996, according to the Post.

Investigators believe Raynor’s body, which was found in the hallway, was dragged there from his first-floor apartment, sources say.

The victim’s daughter, Carolyn Whetstone of North Carolina, insisted her father was not a pedophile and that he “would not touch a child”.

He told the Daily News: “He’s not my father. He wouldn’t touch a child. He would never rape anyone. He has daughters and grandchildren that he watches over when he comes to me. . This is not the case.” This is not true. ”

Whetstone added that his father had cancer and arthritis in his knees, “so he didn’t have the physical capacity to do it.”

He said Raynor had lived with Ayarde and her daughter for several years because of her health issues.

Earlier, it was reported that Whetstone had called the police to check on his father’s health after being unable to reach him by phone during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“When I finally spoke to him last month, he told me he could barely move,” she said of her father’s health. “It was so bad.”

He added: “He was a funny person. He liked to joke. He just liked to have fun.”
