“I love my job,” Sgt. Nicole Gee, 23, subtitled the August 20 snapshot on Instagram that shows her looking at the baby in her arms.
The photo was later picked up by the Pentagon and shared on his Twitter account.

Gee, a maintenance technician for the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, was from Roseville, Calif., Stars & Stripes reported.
She last posted on Instagram on August 22nd – a photo showing her watching a long line of evacuees board a plane to flee Kabul.
“Escort evacuees to the bird,” wrote Gee with a heart emoji.
According to Captain Karen Holliday, Gee was a “model Marine” who mourned Gee’s loss on her personal Facebook page.
“She did God’s work … a warrior,” wrote Holliday, adding that Gee had recently earned a meritorious promotion to sergeant and boasted perfect fitness levels.
Gee had been tasked with helping women and girls fleeing the Taliban repression at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul.
Sgt. Mallory Harrison, Gee’s roommate at the house they shared at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, posted a heartbreaking Facebook tribute to her friend late Friday.
“I find peace in knowing that she left this world to do what she loved,” Harrison wrote. “She was a marine. She took care of the people. She loved fiercely. She was a light in this dark world. ”
But she was fixated on the thought of Gee’s car that Harrison had been waiting for in her mate’s absence.
“Her car is still there and she’s gone forever,” Harrison wrote.
