Actress Helen McCrory, best known for her roles in Peaky Blinders and three Harry Potter films, died of cancer at the age of 52, according to her husband, actor Damian Lewis.

Harry Potter writer JK Rowling presided over the honors, writing that it was “just heartbreaking news”.
McCrory was also known for her long and acclaimed career on the stage, and National Theater Artistic Director Rufus Norris said she was “undoubtedly one of the great actresses of her generation”.
The BBC director of the drama Piers Wenger repeated this and said: “Helen was one of the best actresses this country will ever see.”
Home star Lewis said she died “after a heroic battle with cancer”.
“Beautiful and powerful Mrs. Helen McCrory died peacefully at home surrounded by a wave of love from family and friends,” he said.
