A Chicago man is accused of starting a fire that spread to a house in Lawndale, so he showed a video of the fire and bragged about starting the fire as the building continued to burn.
Edward Robinson, 19, was arrested in the fire Thursday and charged with aggravated arson and possession of a controlled substance, according to police and CWB Chicago.
“Edward Robinson, 19, was arrested following the Thursday fire and charged with aggravated arson… According to the report, Robinson was ordered held on $500,000 bail and will be required to have electronic monitoring.”

According to the authorities. Robinson set fire to a dumpster on the north side of a building on South Christiana Avenue shortly before 6:30 pm. Thursday when the building started to catch fire. Two women, aged 16 and 50, were inside at the time, but came out unscathed.
However, according to CWB Chicago, Robinson later shared a live video on the Citizen app showing firefighters handling the fire.
“I’m live in the Citizen app, gang! He was reportedly heard laughing in a video shared online by the news site.
The person then hands the phone to someone else and poses and waves their hands at the camera.
“The person who catches the fire is what causes this fire,” the person later said.
He goes on to admit during the live broadcast that he set it on fire and at one point said, “I set it on fire with this lighter,” according to the CWB Chicago video.
According to the report, Robinson was sentenced to a $ 500,000 bond issue and he is said to be subject to electronic surveillance.
