A Maine man was charged with attempting to set fire to a church in Massachusetts with a predominantly black congregation.
Dushko Vulchev, of Houlton, Maine, was arrested by Pittsfield police on Friday, authorities said Saturday. He is expected to be arraigned Monday at Martin Luther King Presbyterian Church in Springfield on December 13-15 for multiple arson attacks and three attempted arson attacks. Authorities are also investigating a fire that severely damaged the church. 28.

As of Saturday, it was not known if Vulchev had a lawyer.
