Terri Harris, 35, was found murdered in their home with little John, 13, and Lacey, 11.

Lacey’s best friend, 11-year-old Connie Gent, was also killed while she was staying for the night Saturday.

Today the parents of the three children cried with a broken heart and said, “We couldn’t protect them.”

Jason Bennett, 30, laid flowers for his “Queen Tik Tok” and “handsome boy” after the horrific murders.

Mr. Bennett, a Royal Mail agent, sobbed: “I did not adequately protect my beautiful children from the monsters, and now they have been suddenly taken away from me.”

Her mother Terri died along with Lacey’s best friend, Connie, who spent the night.

Connie’s father, Charlie Gent, 36, said, “My girl, why?

“At the moment I can’t even put into words how I feel or how to react. I have to live with the fact that I was powerless to protect her. . . And she is gone.

Jason has also posted heartbreaking videos of siblings having fun together.

One dedicated to Jason’s “Mini Me” features a beaming John enjoying himself on a merry-go-round at a playground as Lacey pushes him around.

About 300 people, many of them children, gathered in Killamarsh to commemorate the victims.

Many took turns placing candles around a pole in the middle of a park just a few hundred meters from where they were found.

Others brought flowers and teddy bears.

And some during the vigil wept when the pastor of Killamarsh Church across the street, David Taylor, led them to prayer.

Mr. Taylor said: “It is a very sad day, but it is absolutely amazing that so many people have joined us tonight.

“What do you say at a time like this?” It’s so difficult.

Derbyshire police confirmed a murder investigation was ongoing and said they were not looking for anyone else in the “isolated” incident.

They said the officers had no previous contact with the people involved.

The families of the victims have been informed and specially trained agents are present.

A statement stated: “It was a naturally shocking event that deeply affected the local Killamarsh community, as well as Connie’s family and friends in Sheffield, and our thoughts go with them too.

“While this is understandably annoying and troubling, it would be an isolated incident where the people involved know each other and no one else is wanted in relation to the deaths.

“A team of investigators worked overnight to uncover the circumstances that led to her death and I’m asking anyone with information to come forward.

“Of particular interest is anyone who has been in the Chandos Crescent area between 9:30 pm Saturday night and 7:30 am the next day and may have information that could be useful in the investigation. ”

North East Derbyshire MP Lee Rowley described the deaths as “appalling”.
and extremely tragic. ”

He said: “Our condolences to the family and our thoughts are with them.

“Killamarsh is a lovely, close-knit and warm community and I know it
that many local residents will be shocked and concerned by the news. “
