Mum was charged with drunk driving after she hit her daughter in a car in south Sydney and dragged her 100 meters down the street.

In the early hours of Sunday morning emergency services were called to Ash Avenue in Caringbah South to find Keely Palmer, 27, who was trapped under a Toyota Starlet.

Police say her mother, Dale Palmer, 58, was nearly three and a half times what the law requires when she got behind the wheel of her car after a party at her home.

Her daughter reportedly tried to stop her before her car hit the 27-year-old and dragged her 100 meters.

Emergency services worked for over an hour to rescue Keely before she was taken to St. George’s Hospital in severe condition with severe injuries to her right leg and arm.

She was operated on on Sunday and remains in stable condition in the hospital.

Palmer was taken to the Sutherland Police Station, where she returned an alleged 0.166 breath test.

She was then charged with aggravated dangerous driving that caused Serious Personal Injury (PCA) and high-level PCA.

Palmer has received a probation guarantee and is expected to appear in Sutherland District Court next Wednesday.

His license has also been suspended.

“The presence of the police is certainly a difficult circumstance,” said Chief Inspector Gary Ford.

We hope to hear from everyone who has attended this party all night. “”
