A Georgian man has been arrested after killing his roommate, vandalizing his body and leaving the rotting remains in a shed.

Christopher Collin Demmon, 33, has been charged with manslaughter after the severed body of Justin Yeng Xiong, 29, was discovered behind a house in Devereux, The Union-Recorder reported.

Police said an owner’s father followed the smell of rotten meat into the shed on June 4 to find worm-covered remains.

“I thought it couldn’t be a body because a body is a bit elongated and has hands, feet, legs and arms,” said the man, identified only as Gary.

He said he called the sheriff’s office to investigate his gruesome find, which MPs said was cut remains.

“They came back [from the hangar] with their eyes wide open and said there was a body in the plastic,” he said.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation identified the victim as Xiong, who had recently lived at the home with Demmon.

Demmon allegedly killed him and dismembered his body before wrapping the body parts in a plastic bag left in the hangar, police said.

The motive for the murder has not been elucidated.

Three days before the murder, Demmon was arrested in Aiken County, South Carolina, after officers found a yellow jeep blocking both lanes of the freeway.

The jeep was owned by Xiong, and according to WMAZ-TV there was a bloody chainsaw in the back.
